In 2018 I was in New England for three weeks. I drove through all states and let myself be enchanted by indian summer. A special position on this trip was undoubtedly the stay in Boston. Boston is a beautiful, noble and open city - with many memories of the fight for freedom. It was beautiful to be part of this city for a few days.

In 2018 I undertook a round trip through northern Spain. The mountains, stones and simple ground have always fascinated me. The mountain peaks of Picos de Europa, hidden in the fog, gave me an idea of what a wilderness is behind the fog. The Cantabrian mountains topped everything because of their power and magic.

In the photos, I did not notice anything that moved me so much during my stay: The photos showed some reddish brown stones and a cloudless, blue sky. But if you come to the landscapes of the Southwest after several days in Las Vegas, you will see the stones and the sky just different. I started to work on the photos and above all brought in colors - "American" colors. And my enthusiasm for the landscapes was visible in my landscape paintings from the USA.
